Farewell from Fora: A pleasure doing business with you

The Covid-19 crisis hits home as we publish our final article and celebrate four years of highlighting the best of Irish business.

By Fora Team

THE OPENING MONTHS of 2020 have brought Irish – and global – business into uncharted territory.

We here at Fora have been working hard (remotely) to keep our audience up to date on the economic impact of the Covid-19 crisis. It has been our privilege to highlight how companies are learning to adaptto lead, and to survive.

We hope that it has been of some service.

Unfortunately, our parent company Journal Media – badly impacted by a fall in advertising revenue – has had to introduce cost-cutting measures, one of which is to cease publication of Fora.

There will be a bigger focus on economic and business matters on our sister site TheJournal.ie that we hope you will find helpful. We recommend you sign up to the new daily business insights newsletter they are launching next week. Keep an eye on TheJournal‘s Twitter account for that.

Our archive remains online for you to continue to search and consult, with all the wide-ranging content you will have come to expect from Fora writers, from incisive explainers to a sharp eye on major Irish projects; from expert reporting at the frontline of fintech to fascinating profiles and award-winning investigations.

While it’s a goodbye from us at Fora, we wanted to thank you for being a business community that is forward-looking, inspiring and creative. It has been a pleasure to tell your stories, share your expert advice, engage your entrepreneurial minds.

These are the traits that will lead Irish businesses, particularly in the start-up and SME sector, through these challenging times. Best of luck and good fortune to you all.
