AIB business customers are still facing outages after two days of disruptions
The bank’s online service for companies has been on the blink since Monday.
AIB’S ONLINE SERVICE for business customers is still being disrupted by “technical issues” and it is not clear yet when the problem will be fixed.
Customers have been either unable to log in to the ‘iBusiness Banking Service’ or else their service has been running slower than usual.
However, an AIB spokeswoman told Fora that the bank has been “extending cut-off times for customers to make payments and that has allowed all payments to be processed”.
The online function first experienced problems two days ago and it has yet to fully recover.
It was reported on Monday afternoon that the issue had been resolved, but customers are still complaining about the problem on social media, with AIB’s Twitter account encouraging them to try logging out and back in again.
The spokeswoman said that there is not a “blanket outage”, adding that “as you will see from social media, there is still intermittent outages” for some customers.
She said the company’s IT department is working to find a solution, but it is not clear yet when exactly the problem will be fixed.
This is the third time this year that the state-owned bank has reported a technical glitch.
In August, AIB’s mobile banking service went down, which affected consumers rather than business customers. The same problem was reported in July.
