'You work seven days a week until 8pm. The kids miss me, but you have to do it'

As part of our ‘Christmas in Stephen’s Green’ video series, we look at House of Japan.

TODAY CONTINUES OUR look at some of the shops at the top of Stephen’s Green shopping centre, some of the quirkiest the capital has to offer.

As part of a three-part video mini-series, we spoke to some of the businesses on the third floor of the centre to get some insight into their lives and what it’s like to run a shop at Christmas.

In the first installment we talked to Linda-Mae Meagle of the Donegal Shop. In the second video, we spoke to Ciaran Muldowney, the co-owner of House of Japan.

Formerly called ‘Cactus’ and a seller of Mexican products, he changed his shop when he fell in love with and married a Japanese woman.
