BETWEEN CORONAVIRUS FEARS, Brexit and concerns about a slowdown in the European economy, business owners might be forgiven for feeling an old familiar ache of economic anxiety in recent weeks.

While unemployment is low and wages are growing, Ireland housing crisis is giving many pause for thought, so how optimistic are Irish people in general about their future finances?

Our counterparts on the other side of the Atlantic are feeling pretty confident. For over four decades, analytics giant Gallup has been asking Americans to predict the trajectory of their finances over the coming year.

The most recent iteration of this poll revealed that personal financial confidence is at a record high in the US, with a whopping 74% of respondents predicting that they would be better off in 12 months time?

With that in mind, we are asking Fora.ie readers this week: Do you think you will be financially better off a year from now?
