ON 20 SEPTEMBER, workers from around the world are being urged to leave their offices and join a global strike to halt the climate crisis.
It is an event that could find employers coming under increased pressure from environmentally conscious workers, who want to be part of an organisation that cares more about climate change.
Some companies are already facing increased scrutiny on the issue from staff. Almost 8,000 Amazon employees having signed an open letter, which was first submitted to management in April, asking the company to produce more comprehensive climate plans.
